    Installs in seconds per bulb

Already have C9 strings? Just swap the bulbs. Starting fresh? Socket wire and clips make it a weekend job.

    1. Cut Your Cord to Size

Rooflines rarely come in even 100-foot runs, and you don’t need them to: every C9 cord we sell can be cut to length. If a job calls for 87 feet, cut the 100-ft cord on site in under a minute.

    2. Add Your Plugs

Snap a male SPT-1 plug on one end of the cord and a female plug on the other. Line the ribbed side of the cord up with the wide slot, press the cap down firmly, and your custom-length run is ready to light.

    3. Clip and Bulb

Screw in your bulbs on the ground, then clip the line to your roofline as you go, making sure each bulb is held tightly in place.

    4. Light them up

Plug in and enjoy the glow. At just 0.58 watts a bulb, you’ll light more roofline per outlet than you ever could with incandescent bulbs.

Pro tip: Screw bulbs in snug, not tight, and test each run on the ground before you climb the ladder.

Why switch to SMD LED C9s

    E17

Fits the C9 strings you already own

Standard E17 intermediate base. Unscrew the old incandescents, screw these in. No new wire needed.

    0.58W

    Pennies to run all season

A 7-watt incandescent C9 uses about 12 times the power. Run longer rooflines on the same outlet.

    SMD

    Brighter, truer color

Surface-mount LEDs behind a faceted lens give strong, even color with real sparkle, bulb to bulb.

    50K

    Rated for 50,000 hours

Built to come back out of the bin year after year. Durable plastic lens, no glass to break on the roof.

    DIM

    Dimmable and controller-ready

Set the mood with a dimmer, or run them on most animated lighting controllers.

    Questions before you buy

Will these fit my current C9 light strings?

Yes, if your strings take standard C9 bulbs. These use the E17 intermediate base found on C9 socket wire and traditional C9 strings, so they screw right in where your old incandescent bulbs were.

Smaller C7 strings use a different base. For those, see our C7 retro fit bulbs.

    Warm White or Pure White?

Warm White (about 2600–2800K) has the soft, golden glow of a classic incandescent. Pure White (about 6000–7000K) is crisp and cool, almost icy. Warm White is the most popular choice for homes; Pure White pairs well with blue or teal.

How many bulbs do I need?

At the most common 12-inch socket spacing, you need one bulb per foot, so a 25-pack covers about 25 feet.

    Can I use them outdoors?

Yes. They're built for outdoor holiday displays, with a durable plastic lens instead of glass, so there's nothing to shatter on the roof or in storage.

Are they dimmable? Will they work with my controller?

Yes. They're dimmable and work with most animated lighting controllers.

    When will my order ship?

Orders placed by 2pm Eastern typically ship the same day from our Michigan warehouse by USPS or UPS. Orders over $129 ship free; smaller orders ship for a flat $5.99–$9.99 depending on destination. See shipping details and transit map.

    What's the warranty?

All holiday lights carry a three-year limited warranty: 100% of replacement cost in year one, 50% in year two and 33% in year three. A year is one 90-day lighting season. Full warranty details.

I'm an installer. Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Our case of 500 is the lowest price per bulb, with no account needed. For ongoing volume, see our wholesale information.
